Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Golf Is. was founded on the conviction that, much like a life well lived, the game endures because it demands something real from those who play it.

Meet the founders behind Golf Is., Pete & Joanna. United by a shared conviction that golf deserves authentic, documentary storytelling that honors the game's history, character, and enduring excellence. Multi-passionate entrepreneurs, they’ve built brands, tackled massive goals, trained athletes and raised a family. Now in the transition from full time parents, and all that entails, they’re heading out on an epic adventure to showcase their passion for life, adventure, the art of navigating new challenges, and all of the layers of what Golf Is. and the excitement of the Back Nine of Life.
With kids {mostly} grown & flown, Pete & Joanna decided it was time to lean into their love for travel, living life on their own terms, and their robust passion for golf, and all that can offer. It felt like the right time to just go and explore, host Back9 bbqs, meet the people who make the golf world truly operational, highlight the magic hidden in corners of this country yet explored by the PGA and the media… and just enjoy all that life on the road can provide. Both raised in transient families, one a military kid and one an aspiring Marine, then as a Marine Corp couple, they’ve both traveled the country extensively and are excited to share their love for it. Starry nights, fresh air, great hikes, gorgeous coasts, and a lot of time on the green… life without the constraint of the daily grind.
